The Saratoga Springs Off-Leash Dog Park is located near the Saratoga Spa State Park in Saratoga in the state of New York. Vehicle parking spaces are available in a small lot adjacent to the dog park. All parts of the park are enclosed by waist-high chain link fencing. There is a small staging area for leashing and unleashing dogs. Dogs must be leashed before exiting the dog park. A maximum of two dogs per pet owner are permitted into the park at any one time.
The Saratoga Springs Off-Leash Dog Park is a one and three quarter acre plot of land designated as an off-leash area for exercising dogs. It's a beautiful dog park with natural characteristics. The off-leash area has been divided into two sections. There is a half acre run for small dogs while the rest of the dog park space is dedicated to larger breeds.Â
The off-leash areas of the dog park are bordered with very mature trees which offer good shade on sunny days. Both off-leash zones are surfaced with a combination of grass and dirt. There is also a dirt trail running through the trees of the main off-leash area. The Saratoga authorities request pet owners to refrain from taking any food or drink, including dog treats, into the off-leash area. There is no fresh water supply installed at the dog park.
All dogs wishing to use the Saratoga Springs Off-Leash Dog Park are obliged to be correctly vaccinated and displaying the correct tags, as well as a license tag, on their collar at all times. Pet owners are required to provide their own poop bags, clean up after their dog, and dispose of pet waste in a responsible manner. Containers for used poop bags are provided. There are several picnic tables with benches under the trees for pet owners to sit on.
