Scenic State Park

Located in the Laurentian Mixed Forest, the landscape is abundant with aspen-birch, red and white pine, jack pine and all sorts of mixed hardwood. When it comes to the wildlife, the Scenic State Park is home to over 40 species of animals and birds, including bald eagles, loons, jays and a great variety of songbirds. 

The overnight facilities include several campsites and a cabin. You can get to the campgrounds by boat, car or walk. Bird watching, canoeing, hiking, and fishing are some of the activities available here. Although this park is pet-friendly, there are a few simple rules you have to keep in mind to ensure that everyone is having a good time. 

You must keep Fido on a leash at all times during your stay in the park. As an owner, you are responsible for proper removal of your furry companion's waste and make sure you have a poop bag handy.
