The fenced-in park is primarily grass and dirt and does have trees. However, the trees are young and are fenced in by chain-linked fences. If your dog gets hot during his trip to the park, there are water fountains with bowls built-in. There are also PVC pipes filled with poop bags in case you forgot yours. Be sure to clean up after Fido. There are also covered benches on cement for you to sit on and keep your shoes free of dust and dirt.Â
If you do not mind getting your shoes a little dirty, take a walk on one of the paved or natural trails around the park, but make sure Fido is on his leash. There are several trails ranging from 1.6 miles to 3 miles. The park also offers pavilions, grilling areas, basketball courts, and a skate park, to name a few. You and Fido can explore the park together and see what this wonderful community hub has to offer.
The park also has obstacle and agility equipment for your dog to play on. He can jump, run up and down ramps, and traverse his way through tunnels to get a mental and physical workout. He is sure to be tired after a day at this park. Be sure your dog is wearing his collar with licensing tag. Dogs who are in heat are not allowed in the park. Any dogs demonstrating aggressive behavior must be removed from the park and dogs can never be left unattended. Children can enter the dog park, but they, too, cannot be left unattended.
