Not having very much time to spend taking your furry friend outdoors today is no excuse when you have Shevchenko Park nearby in the city of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Located in North Philadelphia, you will find plenty of parking on the adjacent side streets or if you are close enough, you can walk over! You will just need your pup’s leash for this quick trip, so click it on and head out!
This is a pawtastically petite park where you can enjoy 1 acre of land. Your pup can walk in the grassy areas, and although small, is large enough to please any pup. There is bench seating in an area around the newly built terrace, which is all pup-friendly. This is a great place to relax if you have a few extra minutes to take in the views of the surrounding residential area. Shade trees make visiting this park during the hot, summer months manageable! For an extended walk, be sure to take a stroll on the surrounding city sidewalks which encircle the park.
There are no other amenities at this park, including restrooms, so please plan accordingly. You will need to bring water for you and your puptastic dog to share, and mutt mitts are greatly appreciated to keep this park suitably clean for all. The only other thing to remember when visiting this park is to keep their leash on at all times here!
You don’t need a lot of space to enjoy some quality outdoor time with your furever friend. Shevchenko Park provides just what you both need any day of the year in the city of Philadelphia!
