The parking lot is nearby, so you don't have to worry about walking far before you get to the fun. The park also hosts community events for your pups to play, like a "best of"Â contest that includes accolades such as best kiss, best dressed, and saddest eyes. You and your dog must belong to the park to participate in such community events.Â
This park is only for residents of Monroe who register their dog through an application, which can be found on their website. The permit costs $20 for the first dog and $5 for any additional dogs. Once registered, you will receive a card that you must carry when you are in the park. You must also adhere to the rules, which include keeping your dog up-to-date on his vaccinations and making sure he is healthy. He must wear his collar with his ID tags and license verifying he has his rabies shots.Â
Dogs should be discouraged from digging and you must fill in any holes immediately. Dogs in heat are not allowed in the park, and dogs who are aggressive towards other dogs or humans must leave the park. If you have children under 18 visiting the park, they need to be supervised by an adult, and do not bring toddlers to the park. There is a maximum of three dogs per person. You should never leave your dog unattended, as you are responsible for his behavior.Â
