Description

Split Rock Creek State Park is a delightful 1,303-acre park that welcomes dogs. There’s no additional fee bringing your dog, and the park allows breeds of all sizes. However, dogs need to remain on a leash that measures six feet or less at all times during your visit. 

Camping with your dog is a fun experience, and this park makes it easy since the campgrounds allow dogs, as long as they are on a leash. Owners can’t leave their dog unattended at the campsite or anywhere else in the park. You can explore hiking trails with your dog just make sure you bring along necessary supplies such as fresh water, doggie poop bags, and a first aid kit in case your dog needs help. 

The Split Rock Creek State Park offers lots of fun things to do such as biking, camping, kayaking, canoeing, cross-country skiing, fishing, geocaching, horseback riding, hiking, nature viewing, hunting, off-highway vehicle riding, shooting sports, boating, snowshoeing, swimming, and snowmobiling. Currently, dogs are allowed in hiking and camping areas in the park. 

Check with the park office to confirm if any other areas of the Split Rock Creek State Park welcome dogs before planning an activity. This park has lots to do you can easily visit it several times. It has activities to keep the entire family busy and plenty of hiking trails to explore with your dog. Camping is an exciting experience to share with your dog, and this park makes it easy by offering a variety of dog-friendly accommodations. 

Dogs need to have up-to-date vaccinations, including rabies to visit this park. Owners need to display vaccination, identification and license tags on their dog's collar at all times. Overall, Split Rock Creek State Park is an excellent park to visit with your dog. You can choose to visit for the day and explore the hiking trails, or you can spend several nights at the campgrounds.
