The Squaw Creek Park Off-Leash Dog Area is located across from Gardner Golf Course on Highway 151 and Squaw Lane. This charming 1.5-acre dog park has a separate area for small dogs and large dogs. Both of the separately designated areas have plenty of space for dogs to run and play fetch. The size of the park is excellent because even when it’s busy, there is still enough room for all the dogs to have a space of their own.
The dog park rules state dog owners are required to clean up after their dogs immediately. Always bring along doggie poop bags to assure you adhere to this mandatory rule. The trash cans are located throughout the park, but be prepared to carry it with you for a while until you find one in this large dog park. Dogs that visit the park must have tags showing proof of vaccinations and license.
There is a pathway in the park as well as small trees. However, the trees barely provide shade so bring along some fresh water and a portable dog bowl for your dog. The fenced-in Squaw Creek Park Off-Leash Dog Area has beautiful scenery that is excellent for pet parents that need to relax and rest their minds.
The dog park is quite spacious, so it’s rare that dogs get in each other's way. However, if dogs are aggressive towards each other, they must be removed from the designated dog park area for safety purposes. It's mandatory that you keep your dog on a leash until you enter the gate of the dog park.
Once you are securely located inside with your dog, then you can remove the leash. Also, make sure you put the leash on before you open the gate to prevent your dog from running away. Overall, the Squaw Creek Park Off-Leash Dog Area is spacious, fenced-in, has beautiful surroundings, and is an excellent place to play fetch with your dog.
