Stony Brook State Park

Stony Brook State Park brings fun and adventure to the community of Western New York through the peaceful outdoors. With many different amenities, this park has everything that you could ever need for an exhilarating time with your friends, your family, and your favorite pup. This state area is rather large, giving visitors different types of activities to participate in during the summer season as well as the winter season. 

The north entrance is open year-round to visitors, but the south entrance, playfields, trails, and playgrounds are closed off for your safety. There are grills, picnic areas, restrooms, playgrounds, hiking trail entrances, a natural stream-fed pool, as well as a park. The park has different sports courts and playgrounds. There are three main hiking trails and almost a hundred different campgrounds to stay at. Dogs are permitted at this park, but they must be on-leash while they are here with their owners. 

Humans and their pets must also follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the state park. Dogs must first be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can come here, and female pups in heat and young puppies under four months old should stay back at home. 

Dog owners should keep a watchful eye on their dogs while they are in the park as dogs cannot behave aggressively while they are here. Owners may also want to bring dog bags and water as well as this park does not offer it.
