The Stuart Dog Park resides in an out-of-the-way location, which is unfortunate for those who wish to find a dog park in close proximity to their home or work, but it does keep the traffic down and provide some form of exclusivity.
Running water is available at the Stuart Dog Park in the form of a water fountain inside each of the fenced sections. This water fountain dispenses water both at ground level and waist height so you and your canine can stay hydrated on warm days.
This fountain is turned off in late fall to prevent the lines from freezing during the winter months, but this dog park stays open during that time. There is agility equipment here for the canines and dog owners who enjoy those kinds of obstacles. There is plenty of space for games like fetch or frisbee.
Although the ground here is grass, heavy use can wear it down into dirt in the highly trafficked areas of the park. This dirt can stick to your canine's coat and they may leave quite dirty after visiting this park. These issues compound during or shortly after a heavy rainfall as the ground can turn to mud.
This park makes for a great place to bring a highly energetic canine as they can run and play with the other canines here. A large amount of space and agility equipment means that even the canines with boundless energy will leave here exhausted.
Outside of the fenced dog park, all of Stuart Park remains. It has attractions for the whole family, and your canine is allowed throughout the entire park provided they remain on a leash anytime they are outside the fenced section of the park.
