Stuyvesant Square Park

Stuyvesant Square Park is a peaceful, green oasis in the middle of bustling New York City. This historic park was heavily renovated in the 1930's and is now a lovely place with flower gardens, old trees, and walkways. Probably your pooches favorite part of this park will be the dog run! A visit to this park is the pawfect way to get your dog out of the apartment, enjoy some quality time together, and meet the neighbors. 

The dog run is located in the southeast corner of Stuyvesant Square Park, at 2nd Avenue and 17th Street in Manhattan. Completely fenced in, this pup area welcomes dogs of all shapes and sizes! The run is paved, with some trees scattered throughout, so your doggo will remain nice and clean during playtime. There are waste bag dispensers, cleaning equipment, and plenty of benches for the humans. Although the park is well shaded, don't forget to bring some drinking water for your parched pup! 

The surrounding Stuyvesant Square Park welcomes doggos as well, as long as they stay leashed. This peaceful haven features flower beds, shrubs, and much more greenery that is pleasing to the eyes. Who says NYC is a concrete jungle? Some of the historic features include fountains from 1884, original bluestone sidewalks and the oldest cast iron fence in New York City. Your best pal will love the scents and sounds of the flowers, birds, and squirrels as you take a stroll together along the pathways. 

Some of the other amenities in this park include playgrounds and comfort stations. Pups are welcome to enjoy this park as long as pet-parents follow proper petiquette. The dog run is self-policing, so all owners are responsible for keeping it safe and clean. This include watching and picking up after your dog.
