Though both play spaces encourage off-leash activity, owners are still expected to keep a leash handy at all times. Though once a public dog park, Sycamore Bark Park is now a members-only facility. Entrance to the dog park is secured via the application process and payment of the yearly fee. The cost for a membership is $25 per year for Mahopac residents and $75 per year for non-residents.Â
At the time of application, owners must also furnish a completed and signed application form, proof of city dog license, and vaccination certificates. To maintain park membership, dogs must wear appropriate collars with tags for their vaccinations and city dog license clearly visible. The dog play areas are well-equipped with all of the amenities Fido and his family could need for a day of fun.Â
Safely nestled in the Bark Park runs are canine bridges, agility equipment, fire hydrants, tunnels, a hose, drinking water, and poop bags. Owners are required to clean up after their pets. Also housed in the enclosures are benches in areas with plentiful shade trees. Here, owners can recline and enjoy watching their dogs having fun with their favorite canine pals.Â
Sycamore Bark Park is housed over hilly terrain which provides an excellent backdrop for more strenuous exercise. It is important to note that Sycamore Bark Park strictly forbids the use of choke, prong, pinch, and chain collars on the premises. For a great time in a beautiful setting, plan a visit to Sycamore Bark Park!Â
