The Sycamore Park Off-Leash Dog Area is located southwest of the children's playground. This designated area is not fenced in but provides plenty of room for your dog to run free. This beautiful area has green grass and is very clean.Â
Park rules require dog owners to pick up their dog’s poop and dispose of it in trash cans that can be found nearby the designated area. Dog feces that is left in the park will contaminate the water, spread canine diseases, and pose a risk to children's health.Â
Dogs that are at risk of running away while off-leash can be kept on a leash if the owner chooses. However, dogs are not allowed in children play areas on or off-leash. This is due to animal regulations and the enforcement of the leash law in the county. Pet parents need to keep their dogs are required on a leash until they enter the designated dog park area. Once you are located inside the area, you can remove the leash from your dog.Â
The beautiful open space is great for dogs to run around, play and socialize with other dogs. Dog breeds that need a significant amount of exercise will benefit highly from visiting this park on a regular basis. It is also an excellent area to play fetch with your dog.Â
Dogs that visit this park need to have their dog license and vaccination tags located on their collar at all times. Dogs that are sick need to remain home until they fully recover to help prevent the spread of the illness to other dogs in the area.Â
The dog park does not have a water feature for dogs so make sure you bring along fresh water for your dog and a disposable or portable dog bowl to help prevent dehydration. Overall, this beautiful dog park is clean, spacious and an excellent place to bring your dog.Â
