Thomas Jefferson Dog Park

The Thomas Jefferson Dog Park is available for both large and small dogs alike. As a part of the New York Thomas Jefferson Park, this area offers plenty of recreational activities for owners as well as their four-legged companions.

Apart from the kid’s playground, the area is in close proximity to a fitness room as well as nearby baseball and handball courts. In the summer, there is an outdoor pool opened to the public, in addition to the barbeque grills and picnic tables available on site. The off-leash, fenced in dog run has a thick layer of woodchips on the ground, which is a more natural approach to the usual concrete or dirt level present in most dog runs.

It’s also important for owners to never lose sight of their furry companions and make sure they respond promptly to voice commands, especially if they tend to be a bit unruly.

Thomas Jefferson Dog Park is a great place for pets to exercise and meet other dogs, while owners can take advantage of the multiple nearby amenities, including running tracks, soccer fields, basketball courts and outdoor pools.
