#1 Fiesta Island Dog Park

Fiesta Island has gone to the dogs! This island located just off of San Diego is entirely off-leash. While the island is specifically undeveloped and doesn’t have amenities like restrooms or restaurants, there are plenty of fun things to do. This islands hosts festivities, has picnic areas, beaches, and fire pits. After a day of splashing and playing, you can cozy up with your canine companion by a fire.

#2 Grape Street Dog Park

The third dog park within Balboa Park is Grape Street Dog Park. This puppy paradise can be found in the southwest corner of Balboa Park, near the golf course. Pet parents should know that although this area is designated to off-leash playtime, it’s not fenced in. Keep your pooch under voice control and bring a leash for good measure. Your puppers will love romping around in the grass under the eucalyptus trees and testing their skills on the agility course.

#3 Nate’s Point Dog Park

Nate’s Point Dog Park is another dog park within Balboa Park, and it’s the only one that’s fully fenced in. It’s located in Balboa Parks West Mesa. The fully fenced 2.3 acres of grassy landscape are just pawfect for running and playing in glorious off-leash freedom. #4 Morley Field Dog Park

Morley Field Dog Park is one of three dog parks located in the expansive Balboa Park. This treat can be found on the south side of Balboa Park, near the Morley Field Sports Complex. This dog park is not fenced, so keep an eye on Fifi so that she doesn’t escape to the parking lot. The landscape is partially dirt, and partially grass, with some hills. A game of fetch on the hills will guarantee you a tuckered out pup!

#5 Maddox Neighborhood Dog Park

Maddox Neighborhood Dog Park May only be a half acre, but the views are grande! While your pooch enjoys some play time you can take in the panoramic views of Rattlesnake Canyon. The fenced off dog park has everything your pal will need on a hot day, including drinking water and shade trees. If you’d like to explore further with your doggo, in the surrounding area there is a walking path, playground, and picnic areas.

#6 Rancho Bernardo Dog Park

At Rancho Bernardo Dog Park, you and your pupper can find everything you need for a good time. This large 2.66 acre dog park is located in the southern end of Rancho Bernardo Community Park. The dog park has three separate fenced off areas, one for large breeds, one for the little guys, and one for whoever. Within theses spacious areas, your pup can run off-leash among rolling hills and shade trees.

#7 Torrey Highlands Dog Park

Torrey Highlands Dog Park is a one acre fenced off area that welcomes pups of all shapes and sizes. Because there’s no separate area for small dogs, be sure your pup always plays well with others! You can relax on the benches and watch the fun, or take a stroll with your pal down the walking path within the park. Drinking water and poop bags are available, just don’t forget Spots favorite ball!

#8 Cadman Dog Park

Cadman Park has something in it for everyone in the family, including the family dog! The main treat to be found here is the Cadman Dog Park. This off-leash area is not fenced in, so be sure your doggo is under voice control. One feature that makes this park so pawpular, is that the children’s playground is located right next to the dog park, so you can keep an eye on everyone’s playtime without compromise!

#9 Dusty Rhodes Dog Park

Dusty Rhodes Dog Park, or OB Dog Park, is located in the neighborhood of Ocean Beach in San Diego. This relaxed community dog park is a great place to make some furry friends! There are two separate fenced off areas, for small breeds and large breeds. You can take a seat in one of the oversized green chairs while you watch your pals have the time of their lives. Doggy drinking fountains and waste bags are available.

#10 Capehart Dog Park

Capehart Dog Park offers a safe place for puppers to play off-leash and enjoy some pawsitive socialization. This park has large and small dog fenced off areas. The small dog area is grassy and shaded, but the large dog area is more exposed to the sun. There is fresh water on tap in both areas for your parched puppy.
