Description

The Tugaloo State Park welcomes dogs as long as they are on a leash. You need to update your dog’s vaccinations before visiting this park. You also need to display the vaccination and license tags on your dog’s collar during your visit. It’s also best to have an identification tag on the collar as well in case your dog accidentally gets lost.

You need to bring along fresh bottled water for your dog, a small water bowl, a leash, collar, and doggie poop bags for your visit to the Tugaloo State Park. You will definitely need these items, especially if camping on the grounds or in the pet-friendly cottages.

There is a lot to do at the Tugaloo State Park such as hiking, fishing, boating, geocaching, tennis, swimming, miniature golf, horseshoes, volleyball, kayaking, and canoeing. You can have an outdoor adventure with your dog on the four miles of hiking trails available, as long as your dog remains on a leash.

This beautiful state park features cottages, yurts, tent campgrounds, RV campsites and trailer campgrounds, plus walk-in campsites, picnic shelters, boat ramps, tennis courts, volleyball courts, a horseshoe pit and six-lane mega ramp. The Tugaloo State Park has views of Lake Hartwell, which is a 55,990-acre lake that is visible from every direction.

During the summer months, the park offers sailing, boating, skiing and swimming in this beautiful lake. You can explore the hiking trails that are filled with cherry, walnut, oak, and mulberry trees. The hiking paths wind through the trees and make you feel surrounded by nature.

It’s a great adventure to experience side-by-side with your dog, just make sure you keep them on a leash. Overall, the Tugaloo State Park an excellent park to enjoy the outdoors with your dog. You can hike, camp and explore nature with your dog as you enjoy fresh air and an escape from the busy city. Your dog will love the outdoor adventure and so will you!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
