The preserve has over 32 acres of protected land, named after Roxborough, the neighborhood in which it resides in. The preserve is protected and makes a great scenic spot to get out of the city and enjoy its more natural side. This dog-friendly area is perfect for taking Fido, thanks to the .8-mile trail that loops around the park. Parking can be found at the north side of the parking in a small paved parking area across the street.
Walking along the trail in the preserve is one of the most secluded spots to walk in the city, thanks to the thick brush, trees, and shrubs that line the perimeter of the trail, creating a private place to walk in nature. The trail itself is made from gravel and crushed stone and loops around the park. In the center of the park lies a marsh lake and open field. A small dirt trail cuts through the center of the park right along the lake, creating good spots to stop and sightsee some of the natural birds and other wildlife that lives in the preserve.
You and Fido will have a lovely place to go for a walk and enjoy the a day outside when you discover the gorgeous scenery at Upper Roxborough Reservoir Reserve.
