Warren G. Magnuson Dog Park

Warren G. Magnuson Dog Park is located off the coast of Lake Washington in Seattle, Washington. The only Seattle-area dog facility which offers beach access for dogs, this dedicated dog play area is a much-loved haven for dogs and their owners. The 8.6-acre dog space is fully fenced and is suitable for off-leash play. There is one smaller play enclosure that is reserved for use by small dogs only. Owners are asked to retain a lead with them at all times in case of emergencies. 

Situated on the property are the remains of the former naval base known as Sand Point. Families looking to enjoy some outdoor recreational activities can choose from water sports at the boat launch area, playgrounds, sports fields, and tennis courts. There is also an on-site area for flying kites as well as numerous walking trails, pathways, and community gardens to peruse. For lovers of wildlife, Warren G. Magnuson Dog Park attracts many different species of wildlife and birds indigenous to waterways. 

Access to this pristine natural wonder is free of charge. Bathrooms are available on-site, and there is also a plentiful supply of fresh water to help keep Fido and his family well-hydrated. It is unknown if complimentary poop bags are available on the premises. Owners are asked to carry some with them to assist with picking up and properly disposing of their dog's waste in a prompt fashion. 

Though no specific rules govern the use of this public space, it is highly recommended that all dogs be current on vaccinations.
