Westcrest Dog Park
You and Rufus won't want to miss the Westcrest Dog Park in Seattle, Washington. This doggy haven is located within the large Westcrest Park that has picnic tables, playgrounds, hiking trails, and more. The dog park area remains the second largest off-leash park within city limits.
Rufus will love playing in one of the two large fields - one for big dogs and one for small dogs. And on sunny days, you will have plenty of shade with patches of trees that you and Rufus can rest under together. And if you forget water, no problem, there is fresh water available for your dog and water fountains available for you. Rufus will also enjoy chasing the many squirrels found in the park, which provides solid entertainment for owners.
You and your canine pal will not want to miss the doggy training course which has tunnels and other obstacles to run around, through, and over. Rufus will also have a blast digging and playing in one of the sandy areas. In addition, for dedicated walkers, there's a wide gravel path that conveniently loops around the entire dog park, so you and Rufus can stroll together.
Getting tired? No worries, there are a few seats for you to rest in as Rufus runs around and plays. Visitors rave about the cleanliness and many poop bags available on site. One major reason the park is so clean is that there are numerous trash bins available, and the park attendants make sure to clear these bins daily. It’s nice that you will never see a smelly bin overflowing.
To preserve the park’s pristine nature, be mindful by cleaning up Rufus's poo and throwing away your trash in the designated receptacles. Although there are not clear dog rules posted, aggressive dogs should stay home to continue making this laid-back park one that many locals and out-of-towners enjoy.
