Warwick Dog Park (at Warwick Town Park)

Warwick Dog Park is a public dog park located at the Warwick Town Park in Warwick, New York. In addition to the dog park, the beautiful 48-acre town park features baseball, lacrosse and soccer fields, hockey rink, playgrounds, an 18-hole disc golf course, public restrooms, and pavilions. 

This lovely dog park at Warwick Town Park is also home to a variety of dog-friendly walking trails that run throughout the park, just make sure your pooch is leashed! The Warwick Dog Park is a hidden gem that may be difficult to find since there are no signs pointing towards the off-leash park, but it is worth the search according to the regular patrons. 

Head in the direction of the sports complex, and you will find the dog park past the hockey rink, across from the lacrosse fields. Warwick Dog Park at Warwick Town Park consists of two spacious, shaded areas for dogs to stretch their legs, exercise and play in without a leash. One area is meant for large dog breeds, while another accommodates the smaller dogs which helps prevent dogs from getting trampled during playtime. 

The Warwick Dog Park at Warwick Town Park is large enough for dogs to run around and get tired but not large enough for owners to lose sight of them. Unfortunately, since there aren’t many seating options, aside from a few benches, owners will have to bring their own chairs to supervise their dogs comfortably on the more crowded days. 

Though the dog park is fenced, the fence is quite short and can be jumped over by some dogs. The park’s surface consists of sand and dirt, which makes clean-up easy but playtime dusty. The Warwick Dog Park at Warwick Town Park is equipped with a water hose and dog waste bag dispensers. However, due to the park’s popularity, the plastic bags often run out. 

Don't let that be an excuse to not pick up after your pooch. Make sure to bring your own and clean up after your dog and help keep this park well-maintained. There is plenty of parking at Warwick Dog Park at Warwick Town Park, and you will be able to find a spot even during the weekend so make sure to check this park out if you live in the area.
