Washington Avenue Bark Park

Washington Avenue Bark Park is a popular dog hang out in Miami Beach, Florida. One of few dog playgrounds in the Miami Beach area, Washington Avenue Dog Park sits on 1/2 an acre of property which is home to two fenced runs. These dog enclosures were designed to accommodate off-leash play as well as to offer all dogs the opportunity for proper socialization in a safe environment. 

One of the two runs is reserved for use by dogs who are small, shy, or elderly and who would benefit from a calmer play style. Though off-leash activity is encouraged in all of the enclosures, owners must still maintain a leash with them at all times as a precaution.

Washington Avenue Bark Park makes its premises available to the public free of charge. The dog runs are well-equipped to meet the needs of all visitors, both canine and human. Housed on the grounds is comfortable bench-style seating in areas that offer plenty of shade. 

The runs themselves are lined with grass, a material that is gentle on canine joints. Each of the play spaces is double fenced to ensure the safety of all dogs making use of the runs. In addition to this, each play area comes complete with water access and poop bags. 

Owners are required to take responsibility for their pets by cleaning up after them promptly. There are no bathrooms for public use on the grounds. Visitors to this public dog playground praise its cleanliness as well as its location, lending it the feel of a neighborhood park.

Washington Avenue Bark Park does not have any specific regulations in place regarding the use of their lovely dog play haven. However, to protect against the spread of disease, it is always wise for your dog to be current on vaccinations. A city dog license is also appreciated.
