West Thames Dog Park

West Thames Dog Park is located in New York City, New York. This much-loved dog facility earns high marks from dogs and their owners alike. Ideally situated within West Thames Park, West Thames Dog Park boasts of two fully fenced play spaces where dogs can enjoy off-leash play. 

One of the two enclosures is reserved solely for use by small dogs. Though the enclosures are designated off-leash zones, it is required that all dogs remain on a lead when traveling to and from the runs as well as in all other areas of the park. Owners are required to carry a lead with them at all times. 

Access to this public space is free of charge. Though there are bathroom facilities in nearby West Thames Park, visitors to this doggy play haven note that they are a significant distance from the enclosures. Water is provided on-site to help keep Fido well-hydrated during his play time at the park. 

Additionally, benches are situated in well-shaded areas to provide a comfortable space where owners can relax and enjoy viewing their dogs at play. Also on the premises is a small pool and a hose to help clean up dirty dogs after a particularly rousing bout of roughhousing in the enclosures. 

Complimentary poop bags are available via dispensers. Owners are responsible for picking up and properly disposing of all canine waste materials. In accordance with New York state by-laws, all dogs making use of public play spaces are required to be current on their rabies vaccination and city licensing. 

It is mandatory for owners to carry the appropriate documentation on them and to furnish it when requested to do so.
