A park with a vision for providing a safe space for dogs to enjoy off-leash activity, both of Wildwood Dog Park's enclosures are designated off-leash zones. With the needs of small, elderly, and timid dogs in mind, one of the play areas is reserved exclusively for their use. To ensure the safety of all dogs enjoying the play spaces, owners are required to carry a lead with them in case it is needed.Â
Wildwood Dog Park is a public dog playground, and park officials proudly invite all pooches and their people to visit their facility free of charge. Found in the runs are all of the amenities needed for a great day at the park. The play spaces are lined with grass and are described as spacious and well-shaded.Â
Benches have also been installed throughout this doggy play haven, providing a serene backdrop where owners can rest and relax while their dogs frolic and play. Complimentary poop bags are available, and owners are asked to make use of them to clean up after their pets as is mandated by Georgia state law. At this time, there is no access to drinking water at Wildwood Dog Park.Â
Owners should come prepared with a bottle of water and dog dish to ensure Fido's thirst can easily be quenched when needed. Bathrooms are available for public use at the family-friendly Wildwood Park. Wildwood Park, a family-centric recreational haven, offers many outdoor activities for families to enjoy. Housed on the grounds are 2.5 miles of hiking trails, a 1-mile jogging path, picnic areas, and a playground.Â
Wildwood Dog Park has a few regulations owners must observe when bringing dogs to their facility. Dogs must be current on all immunizations as well as licensed with their city. Additionally, tags must be clearly visible on each dog's collar as proof of current vaccinations and an up to date dog license.Â
The City of Marietta observes Breed Specific Legislation and strictly forbids Pit Bulls, Pit Bull-type dogs, and Rottweilers from entering their play spaces. Food and beverages are not allowed in the dog park. For a day of fun at a great Georgia park, plan a trip to Wildwood Dog Park!Â
