Woodmere Paw Park South

The Woodmere Paw Park South is a fantastic option for getting some fresh air with Fido. The 2.5-acre park is prime space for your pup to run around in and make new friends. The dog park's ground is composed of grass, patchy spots of grass with dirt, and pine needles. Also, there are plenty of mature trees that provide shade on sun-filled days. To keep you cool and comfortable, there are benches and picnic tables to relax at and make friends, and some are under coverings to keep the sun off you. 

While you're busy making friends be sure to still keep an eye on your pooch and pick up after he goes to the bathroom. If you forget your bags, waste bags are provided at the park and there are plenty of garbage pails to dispose of it. The park also has water to keep your pup hydrated and happy and the water is on a cement landing, so mud accumulation is reduced. 

Your little pup can prance with peace of mind in the smaller dog section and your larger dog can run with the big boys in the large dog section. Whichever size dog you have, make sure he responds to your command and isn't aggressive. The park is located off of Jacaranda Boulevard and is near Alligator Creek, which you'll see signs to watch for alligators so be aware.

Keep your pup on his leash until he is inside the double-gated entry. If you and your pup are new to the park scene, it's best to visit the park when there aren't a lot of dogs there. The busy hours for Woodmere Paw Park South seem to be around lunchtime and again after work. Before visiting the park, make sure your dog is up-to-date on his vaccinations and is wearing his collar and ID tag at all times in the park.
