The space is pretty large, and you could certainly play some long-range games like fetch or frisbee, at least in the large dog section. This is an excellent place to bring rambunctious canines with boundless energy to wear them out. The small dog section lacks luster. Instead of grass, the entire area is dirt. You canine will leave the small dog area very dirty, and those issues compound after heavy rainfall.
There are some trees inside the fenced section, and they provide a decent amount of shade during most hours of the day. Bench seating is available along the fence line, most densely at the entrance, and under the occasional shade bearing tree. Water is available in the form of a waterspout at the entrance to the fenced dog area.
There is plenty of free parking adjacent to the dog park, and there is a paved concrete path from the parking lot to the dog park. Doggie bags are available at the entrance to this dog park, and garbage cans can be found scattered around the park. This is not a comingled dog park, and there are two separate areas for large and small dogs.
There are some obstacles at this park for use as agility equipment. The grounds here at Woodville Dog Park are reasonably well maintained, they at least stay clean, and the fence is intact at all points. The grass is often mowed and never gets too long. This park is pretty quiet and an enjoyable place to come and relax with your canine off leash.
