As you walk along the creek, you may get to see some of the wild birds that live in the water, including egrets and mallards. You might also get to see some of Santa Rosa’s other native wildlife, including every dog’s favorite: California gray squirrels!
After you go through the forest, you’ll reach a long section of the trail that goes through open fields. This part of the trail also takes you past a farm that’s home to alpacas, horses, and more.
As you continue along the path, you’ll walk through more open fields, and you’ll get great views of the mountain in the distance. You’ll also get to see the pawesome Laguna de Santa Rosa watershed.
Near the end of the path, you’ll walk through another shady wooded area. After that, you’ll go through a few housing subdivisions, and then, you’ll reach the end of the trail at Bellevue Avenue. Take a few minutes to relax here with your pup before you head back to the start of the trail.
