The west side of the trail begins near the intersection
of County Line Road and FM 1044. Here you will find a small parking lot and the
trailhead. Hop on the trail and head east. At Pahmeyer Drive take a left and cross
the street to Kraft Park, where the trail continues. If you have some extra
time, take a spin around this lovely green space so your pupster can sniff the grass.
When they’re ready to keep going, follow the trail east to Walnut Avenue. This
section clocks in at .75 miles. When you get to Walnut Ave, cross the street to
pick up the third leg of the trail. Stroll along the paved pathway for another
.75 miles until you reach McQueeny Road. Cross the street one final time and
make your way to east trailhead near Highway 775.
All in all, this pawsome trail is just over two miles. It’s
stays flat, so it’s easy on your pal’s knees. Along the way, there are several
fitness stations. Take a minute to try them out so you can burn even more
calories. Your doggo can cheer you along as you break a sweat. The trail also
has some benches. If your furry friend needs to rest their paws, take a break
and just enjoy the afternoon. A few pet waste stations make it convenient to
clean up after your pup. Be sure to bring some water, so your four legged buddy
can have a drink.
