The Nutra Complete dog food range encompasses a few different products, including Nutra Complete Premium and Nutra Complete Infusions. All recipes and products are freeze-dried, raw dog food.

The Nutra Complete Premium range is available in three different tasty flavors — beef, chicken and pork, and in a selection of bag sizes; 5oz, 16oz and 48oz.

The beef recipe contains 95% ranch-raised beef and organs. The first three ingredients are beef, beef liver and beef kidney. It also contains dried kelp, blueberry, carrot, sweet potato, spinach, and broccoli. 

Nutra Complete Premium Chicken contains 95% cage-free chicken, with chicken, chicken heart, chicken liver and chicken gizzard as the first four ingredients. As with the beef recipes, it has a similar selection of fruit and vegetables.

The pork recipe contains pork, pork heart and pork liver, supported, again, by blueberry, carrot, sweet potato, spinach and broccoli. The inclusion of this fruit and veg has a number of benefits — helping to assist with healthy digestion, skin and coat.

Nutra Complete also has two ‘USA Sourced’ recipes, available in beef and pork flavors. The beef recipe features 95% ranch-raise beef and organs (beef, beef liver, beef kidney and ground beef bone). The pork variety is 95% USA-sourced pork, including pork, pork heart and pork liver.

There are three different recipes in the Nutra Complete Infusions line: Duck with Organic Chicken Bone Broth, Fish & Beef with Organic Beef Bone Broth, and Turkey.

The duck recipe includes duck meat, duck heart, duck liver, with chicken bone broth and a series of fruit and vegetables; blueberry, carrot, sweet potato, spinach, broccoli and cranberry.

The fish and beef recipe includes — as well as whitefish and beef — salmon, beef liver and organic beef bone broth. It also has the same fruit and veg selection.

Ultimate Pet Nutrition also produces a range of Nutra-branded dog treats and training treats. Like the Nutra dog food, these are either 100% freeze-dried or 100% air-dried.

Alongside 95% single-animal protein, this food includes amino acids, antioxidants, and probiotics plus fruits and vegetables. All the ingredients of the veterinarian-developed blend are hand-selected to support healthy digestion, a soft coat, energy levels and longevity.

This dog food is gently-freeze dried to preserve all the nutrients in the most natural way. Dr Richter’s aim is to mimic what our pets would eat in the wild. Most dog food companies remove the nutritional value by overcooking their food and some even include potentially harmful compounds. This food is created in the most chemical-free way. 

All the ingredients in Nutra Complete are beneficial to your dog's health. As well as not containing any fillers or artificial preservatives, it’s also free from grains, artificial flavors and unnecessary additives.

While there’s a lot to like about this dog food, there are a few things you need to be aware of too.

The high-quality means that the food is fairly expensive compared to most other dog food brands. Many pet parents can’t afford the high cost of solely feeding this food to their dog and so use it as a topper to their regular wet or dry food instead. 

This is a relatively new food brand so there may be more flavors and ranges to look forward to in the future. But, currently there’s only one range and three flavors to choose from. Unlike some other dog food brands, it’s not personalized to your dog's specific needs. 

You may be wondering if a raw food diet is dangerous. Some believe it is because there’s a chance it could be contaminated with Listeria and Salmonella. This is why the the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the FDA discourage pet parents from feeding a raw food diet.

However, there hasn't been an issue with any of the food in the Nutra Complete range to date.
