St Armands

For a nice bite to eat, make your way to Saint Armands, a beautiful neighborhood just off the coast. There, you’ll find a restaurant that sets the bar for others in the area, especially when it comes to being dog-friendly. At Cafe L’Europe, your rover will be treated like regular royalty, from being served water from the moment they settle in at the air-conditioned deck to choosing a yummy treat from a menu just for your pup. For your own tasty treat, you can’t go wrong with the crab salad, or if you’re just looking for something sweet, their apple pie can’t be beat!

Arlington Park

To enjoy a bit of off-leash fun, mosey on over to Arlington Park, also in Sarasota. With amazing scenery and friendly locals, you’d be doggone crazy to pass up on Arlington Park Dog Park, a fenced-in area where your dog can go absolutely dog wild making new friends and splashing in the wading pool. There are doggy waste bags as well as trash bins provided throughout the park, and you’ll be able to access clean drinking water while you’re there, as well. Whether your pooch is a tiny tyrant or a big baby, there’s a spot for your pup!

Lake Sarasota

Paw on over to Lake Sarasota and you’re sure to have a ball -- a tennis ball, that is! If your pup is eager to make some friends, and Arlington just isn’t your cup of tea, make a stop in 17th Street Dog Park. This park also features two separate areas; one is for small, fragile, or elderly dogs, while the other is for dogs over thirty pounds. There are plenty of cozy spots for you to settle in while your pup explores this fascinating terrain, and you’ll easily be able to keep an eye on your buddy. Just bring some waste bags to tidy up.

Golden Gate

If your precious pup is a sucker for basking in the sun on a sandy beach, look no further than Golden Gate. A beautiful neighborhood in Sarasota, Golden Gate is home to Bay Front Park, a beautiful beachside park where you’re welcome to bring your pup as long as you keep them on a leash. Splash around in the tide, and enjoy a walk alongside man’s best friend while both of you get your tan on. You’ll need to bring clean drinking water, and you'll also have to clean up any messy mishaps your pup might make. Otherwise, you are golden! (Pun totally intended.)

Sarasota Springs

To wind down the perfect day with your most precious pal, make your way to Sarasota Springs, where you’ll find a highly-rated bar where you can enjoy a selection of hot foods off the grill, or choose from any number of tasty alcoholic brews. At Evie's Tavern and Grill, you’re sure to have a blast whether or not you have your furry friend tagging along. If it’s just you, enjoy the driving range to pass a bit of time. If you’ve got your pup with you -- and why wouldn’t you?! -- grab a spot at any of the outdoor covered tables.
