Downtown Auburn
While you're staying in Auburn, you'd be barking mad to miss out on all the dog-friendly restaurants it has to offer! One of these is Jeremiah's Brewed Awakenings. At this local favorite, you'll find a varied menu and a crowd of friendly regulars. If you're craving some pizza, paw on over to Greek's Pizzeria. Customers say that this place has the best pizza in town, but we'll let you and Fido be the judge of that! If you want a more elegant option where you can eat delicious meals and sip on different cocktails, visit The Italian Grille. Leashes and good behavior are required at all establishments.

Winchester Road Improvement
Auburn doesn't have any dog parks of its own, but you don't need to worry about that since you'll find a furrific one just 26 miles away! Pawster Park is an off-leash park located in the Winchester Road Improvement area of South Fort Wayne. The gate for entering the park is passcode-protected, and you'll need to purchase an annual pass if you want to obtain it. There are two decent-sized, fenced enclosures for small and large dogs here, both of which have doggie drinking fountains. The park is very clean and well-maintained, so make sure you bring waste baggies to help keep it that way!

West Fort Wayne
Thirty miles away from Auburn is the Eagle Marsh Nature Preserve in West Fort Wayne, another place suitable for an on-leash stroll with your pup. This beautiful preserve offers a variety of different trails both in length and difficulty. The best thing about this park is that there are a couple of places where doggos are allowed to swim and cool off in the water! This preserve is the pawfect place to go if you need to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for awhile. Make sure you bring water and waste baggies, and something to protect yourself from the mosquitos.

South Defiance
East of Auburn, around 33 miles away, you and your pooch can visit the Oxbow Lake Wilderness Area, located in Defiance, OH. This is the perfect place for those who want to enjoy untouched wilderness and admire the fish, turtles, deer, and other wildlife that call this area home. If you like to hunt, you can do that here also. There are around 287 species of birds in the wildlife area and up to 66 different fish! You and your pooch will pawsitively love this unique outing -- just make sure to keep Fido on-leash. Make sure you bring water, snacks, and waste baggies, and enjoy the day!
Harrison Lake State Park
Harrison Lake State Park is around 50 miles away from Auburn, or around a 1-hour drive. This vast state park is located in Fayette, OH, and doggies are welcome here on-leash. There are so many activities here that will make you and Fido fall in love with this pawesome park! Boat and bike rentals, camping sites, fishing, showers, playgrounds, and so many more amenities are waiting for you here. The park also has plenty of trails that you and your dog can explore. Harrison Lake State Park has a reputation for being extra clean, so if you decide to visit, do not forget to bring some waste baggies for your fur baby.
