Madison is a town in and the county seat of Jefferson County, nestled along the Ohio River. The downtown area is a National Historic Landmark in the US and is often referred to as Madison Historic District. There’s plenty to see and explore here, including Broadway Fountain, Sullivan House, and Springdale Cemetery near Crooked Creek. Let your camera rest a bit so your pooch can play! West County Road
West County Road is an extensive neighborhood in the western part of North Vernon, also touching a part of the residential area to the south. The place offers a variety of local schools and eateries. There's good news for dog owners: the area is close to Muskatatuck Park, a lush open space with one of the best walking trails in Indiana! The trail system features about 10 miles of different paths leading through the forest. Mountain Bike Trail, for example, is designed for three levels of expertise, from Beginner to Advanced. There’s also a campground and picnic shelters on-site if you decide to take a break.

Versailles State Park
Versailles State Park, with its rolling hills and stunning natural beauty, is a true gem in Indiana. Featuring a 230-acre lake, the park is the second biggest recreation area open for mutts and their parents to explore, sniff, and have fun in! You have to be very careful with your buddy on the campgrounds -- make sure that he behaves himself. Your pooch can stretch his legs and get some fresh air on the walking trails. Keep in mind that pooches must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times. Never tie your buddy up to a tree or tent or leave him alone! When you hike, always take drinking water with you.

Blue Ridge
Blue Ridge is a residential neighborhood in North Bloomington, Indiana. It bears a very distinctive heritage -- check out the iconic gates at the west side entrance. The neighborhood is tucked between Lake Giffy and Walnut Street, and has almost every amenities a resident may need. Just a block away from the neighborhood, you'll find Ferguson Dog Park at North Stone Mill Road. This is a furrific dog park with a separate section for small breeds to have fun, run, and play. Even if you're just stopping by, the park is open to the general public and is free if you decide to visit. Keep in mind that water is available seasonally.
