West Harrison
The West Harrison neighborhood is a riverside community with some private residences and a community park. There are sidewalks along some of the local streets where you and your pooch can take a daily stroll. When you want to enjoy some green space, head to the Town of West Harrison Playground on Bowles Street. This small facility has a paved walking trail that you and your furry pal can use to stretch your legs. Take a few laps then enjoy a picnic in the park. Dogs are permitted to join you as long as you keep them on a leash and clean up their waste.36

Harrison
The downtown Harrison area includes some single-family homes and apartment complexes located next to a commercial district. You'll be able to take your pup for a daily stroll down sidewalks in this neighborhood that's located east of West Harrison. If you're looking for a place to let Spot run off-leash, head to the Harrison Dog Park off George Street. This fenced facility includes benches, a water fountain, and waste stations. After some social time with other pups, leash up your special pal and walk along the trails in the Community Center that's just south of here. Make sure you clean up any messes.24

Hickory Flats
Hickory Flats is a residential development that's about 2.5 miles east of West Harrison. The neighborhood here has roads with sidewalks that offer a nice place for your daily walk with Fido. To treat your pup to some open space, take him to Campbell Lakes Preserve. This facility has four fishing lakes and some open prairie. Hike around the water or bring a pole and try your luck. There's a small fee for fishing, and the bass and northern pike here are catch-and-release. Dogs on a leash can join you. Make sure you bring water and waste bags with you.12

Parks of Whitewater
The Parks of Whitewater, located four miles northeast of town, is a residential development that's located between wetlands and the Miami Whitewater Forest. The neighborhood has sidewalks and some small ponds that provide a peaceful setting for a daily stroll with your pup. There's a paved trail along New Haven Road that feeds into the Shaker Trace Trail. This multi-use pathway is a 7.8-mile loop that winds through the facility. You can bring dogs with you on the moderately difficult trail as long as you keep them on a leash and clean up their waste. Remember to bring water with you for your trek.
