15 miles from Wrights Corner, the town of Rabbit Hash is literally as close as you can get to the Kentucky/Indiana border, separated by the Ohio River. Verona Vineyards at Rabbit Hash is another dog-friendly establishment, but this one makes and serves wine! This vineyard invites people to bring their pups along to free wine tastings every weekend. Francisville

Nooked along the bend of the Ohio River, Francisville is a spread out, family-friendly community in Kentucky, roughly 20 miles east from Wrights Corner. Giles Conrad Dog Park is a massive off-leash dog space that is fenced in and comes with nature trails that you can hike and even bike on with your pooch! Strong’s Brick Oven Pizza, Agaves Mexican Restaurant, and Longnecks Sports Grill all love dogs and welcome them with open arms to come and dine outside on their outdoor patios. Giles Conrad Park also hosts the annual Pitie Party event; all proceeds raised go towards pit bull rescue efforts.

Bridgetown North

This Ohio town is accessible from I-74 and I-275 and rests approximately 25 miles east of Wrights Corner. Mount Airy Forest Dog Park is a spacious dog park that includes a small and large dog play area, water, and waste stations; for a change of pace, there are miles of on-leash, dog-friendly trails that run through Mt. This popular city of Ohio rests along the Ohio/Kentucky border, overlooking the Ohio River and about 30 minutes east of Wrights Corner.
