East Mishawaka

Mishawaka is a moderately populated city, so naturally, it has a beautiful dog park that all the local pups love called Margaret Prickett Dog Park. The park is located just outside of Mishawaka, in the suburbs on the eastern side of the city. This park has all the amenities you and Fido need for a great day at the dog park; it is safely fenced and has separate areas for little and big pups. Both of the areas have plenty of space, water, and wooded areas for your doggie to play, run, sniff, and chase after some toys (or maybe some new friends!).

Rum Village

If you don't want to travel far from Mishawaka to take your pup to an awesome place, we recommend that you check out the Rum Village Park. The park is just 7 miles west of Mishawaka and is an absolutely pawfect location for those of you who are into hiking! Doggies are welcome here, although they have to be on-leash -- we're sure your pooch won't mind, though! Around 4 miles of trails that go through hills and natural wooded areas will tire you and your pup out while filling your lungs with fresh air. Bring your own water and make sure to clean up after your pooch.

Northeast South Bend

Another park that's close to Mishawaka is Niles Ave Dog Park, located just 7 miles away. This park is fully fenced and has a secure entrance system. Interactive amenities are provided in both partitions of the park for different-sized doggies. There are always plenty of pups and people to socialize with here, as well as plenty of space for your pooch to burn some energy. The park is free to visit and provides water and waste baggies -- all you have to bring is your buddy! Regulars often donate different doggie toys that everybody can use. You'll also find parking conveniently close by. What more could you want from a dog park?

Stevensville

Here's a little something for you beach-loving pups and people out there! If you want to have a blast with your pup on a sandy, sunny beach, visit Grand Mere State Park, located around 43 miles from Mishawaka, on the Stevensville shore area. Here, you'll find three lakes and plenty of space to explore. To get to the beach, you'll have to take a little hike; however, you should be aware that this hike is moderately long and fairly challenging both for you and your dog. At the end of the hike, you'll be rewarded with a long, broad, sandy beach where your dog can swim and enjoy the sun. Don't forget to bring water and waste baggies!

Downtown Mishawaka

After exploring Mishawaka's surrounding areas, head back into town to find plenty of dog-friendly places to explore with your canine friend. There is a pup-friendly place for every taste -- from restaurants and cafes to taverns, fast food places, and more. Want to grab a quick bite? You can choose between Rally's Hamburgers, Chipotle Mexican Grill, Nedderman's Steak Place, or Culver's.
