Northside

Northside

Fairmont Dog Park is new to Northside and is a great place to take your dog for a nice off-leash run. There is plenty of water and shade available, but you must register your dog with the park before entering. If your dog gets a little dirty while at the park, take them to Wags by Connie. Wags offers a stress-free grooming experience that will leave your dog feeling happy and smelling great. If you and your dog need a good drink before heading home, try out Boatyard Brewing Company or Green Door Distilling Co, as both allow your dog indoors!

Texas Charter Township

Texas Charter Township

Al Sabo Nature Preserve is right on the outskirts of the Texas Charter Township. This beautiful 8 mile nature preserve offers hiking and biking trails, is completely free, and is open 24 hours a day. Beware of the bugs and ticks that may crawl on you or your pup, and be sure to have protection. If you’re looking for a smaller trail to enjoy with your dog, then try the Texas Township Trailway. This trail is just as great as Al Sabo Nature Preserve, but a little smaller for your dog to enjoy, which is great if your pup is new to exploring.

Vicksburg

Vicksburg

Prairie View Dog Park in the nearby town of Vicksburg is perfect to bring your dog to. It is a 7-acre, well shaded and fenced-in dog park that offers benches and a walking trail. If your dog is under 25 pounds, the park offers a separate section just for them. There is a daily parking fee, or you can purchase an annual parking pass to the park. Once you’re done at the park, go grab a bite to eat at Jaspare’s Pizza and Italian Foods, which offers fine Italian food and loves when your dog tags along.
Oshtemo

Oshtemo

Oshtemo is the place to be if your dog loves running and diving into ponds, and is located just to the west of Kalamazoo. Meadow Run Dog Park is a beautiful 24-acre, fenced-in dog park that offers large meadows, a pond, agility equipment, self-grooming tubs, rinse off areas outside the park, and plowed paths in the winter. There is even a section for your dog if he is a little shy or small. Meadow Run does require a membership, but they allow you three visits before purchasing. Shifters Bar and Grille is just down the road from the dog park and allows your dog to join you for lunch.
