Lisbon

The village of Lisbon includes residential areas, industrial sections, public schools, and the Columbiana County Fairgrounds. For a walk through history, you can check out the Hanna-Kenty House or stroll through the Lisbon Cemetery and view the monuments, naval cannon, and other features that are here. For a place to walk with Fido, head over to Willow Grove Park on Lincoln Way. This facility is by Little Beaver Creek, and it has a playground and open space. Play ball in the grassy area or walk by the creek with your fur baby. Keep Spot under control with a cord or lead and scoop any messes.

Logtown

Logtown, on the western side of Lisbon, is a small rural community with some farms and single-family homes. This area borders a boy scout camp and offers country roads where you and your pooch can meander. Another pawesome place to take Fido for a jog or hike is the Little Beaver Creek Greenway Trail. You can join this multi-use pathway at St. Jacobs-Logtown Road. Head southeast into town or northwest to Washingtonville. Enjoy the farm fields, woodlands, wetlands, and ravines as you traverse the road with your special pal. Dogs need to be on a cord or lead as long as six feet.

Guilford Lake

Just 8.3 miles northwest of downtown Lisbon, you'll find Guilford Lake State Park. This area includes vacation homes and houses, campgrounds, and small businesses. As a reservoir in Ohio's glacial plateau region, the property provides a habitat for migratory waterfowl, songbirds, and other wildlife. Come here with your pup to walk the pathway around the lakeshore and enjoy the scenic views together. You can also bring a boat with up to a 10-horsepower motor and cruise the lake. The facility has picnic areas where you can grab a bite with your canine companion. Leashed pets can be in designated parts of the park.

Elkton

The community of Elkton is about four miles east of Lisbon. This unincorporated berg has a federal prison, some farms, and private homes. Just outside of town, there's a furrific natural area that you and Fido can investigate together. Head to Beaver Creek State Forest off Middle Beaver Road to hike on the pathways in this 1,122-acre property. The facility also allows hunting and fishing in the Little Beaver Creek Wild and Scenic River. Get a license and bring your pole along when you come. Remember to keep pets on a lead and carry waste collection bags to pick up after them.

New Alexander

The rural area of New Alexander is about 12.8 miles west of Lisbon. Here, you'll find farms and country estates. The roads offer a peaceful venue to go walking with your fur baby. On the east side of the community, there's a pawtastic area where you and your special pal can explore nature together. The Zepernick Wildlife area offers hiking, hunting, and fishing. There two ponds and a lake where you can fish for pickerel, largemouth bass, and panfish. You can also walk through a variety of habitats with your leashed pooch. Bring water and waste collection bags when you visit.
