Be sure to try some of the dog friendly eateries when you are in Carrollton! This includes the pawsome Jimmy’s Backyard BBQ where you can tuck into some delicious burritos, nachos and meat for dinner. There are also outdoor tables here where you can sit with your pup and get your paws into your food. For comfortable accommodation, stay at the dog friendly Candlewood Suites. Here you are welcome to bring your pup weighing up to 80 lbs for an additional fee for your stay. There are also some puptastic amenities that you can use, which includes a fitness center, outdoor grills and picnic tables.

Just 18 miles from Carrollton, you will find the puptastic puptown of Bowerston! Here you can join the pawsome Conotton Creek Trail where you can go exploring with your furry friend. This sniff-tastic trail is 11.2 miles long and allows you to retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. It is on the furrific Appalachian foothills, where you can watch the horses and cattle that you pass, as well as the beautiful wildflowers. Of course, bikes can also use the Conotton Creek Trail too, so it may be best to keep your pup on leash.

For a pawsome day out with your pooch, head on over to the puptown of Malvern! Here you will find the puptastic Village Park where your canine can enjoy some exercise and playtime. There is lots of green grass for your furry friend, as well as a sniff-tastic walking path for a leisurely stroll. There are also some furrific amenities at Village Park you can enjoy with the whole family. This includes a football field, baseball fields, tennis court and basketball courts. Since every pup loves his or her exercise, you have got to visit the Atwood Lake Park Dog Park! This is a pawsome place that you will find just 18 miles south west of Carrollton in Mineral City. Here you can let your canine run and roam off leash since it is all fenced in for safe play. There are benches where you can watch your canine have a ball and make new furry friends, and a special doggo water fountain for your panting pup too. There are also some furrific amenities that you will find in Atwood Lake Park, including sniff-tastic trails, a basketball court, fishing pier, observation tower, playgrounds and volleyball court.
Zoar
When you are in Carrollton, you have got to make the trip to the puptown of Zoar! This pawsome place is only 21 miles northwest of Carrollton, where you can join the Zoar Valley Trail. Go on an adventure with your pooch and explore over 20 miles of sniff-tastic trails here. You can walk alongside the Tuscarawas River, roaming through woodlands, farmland and green open spaces. You can also admire some of the furrific historical sites that you pass, which includes a pre-revolutionary war encampment and the Fink Truss Bridge.
