Lyndhurst Near Cedar

The massive 155-acre Acacia Reservation in Lyndhurst is worth a visit while you are in town. This lush green escape sits on Euclid Creek in a pristine wooded area that will leave you and your canine companion refreshed and relaxed. There is an easy 1.7-mile looped trail for a pleasant walk with your pup, or head out and explore the grounds at your leisure. You will need to keep your pup on a lead for his safety and bring clean-up bags and water with you. Just north of Acacia Reservation is Brainard Park, a lovely community park where you can take another walk along the paved path, or stop for a picnic while the kids enjoy the large nature playground or the skate park.

City Center

The Mayfield Heights City Park in neighboring Mayfield Heights is a pawriffic place to pop in for a walk with your pup or a family day out. This well-kept park right in the heart of town has lots of space to wander through the shady trees and around the paved track that circles the picnic area. At City Park, there is a great playground for the kids as well, plus grills and restrooms so you can make a day of it. You need to keep your pooch leashed here, and always pick up after him. If you’d rather grab a bite to eat at a pet-friendly restaurant, close by is TGI Fridays and Panera Bread where you can enjoy a meal with your pup by your side at one of the outdoor tables.

Bexley Park

South Euclid’s Bexley Park is a pleasant little park to stop by with your pup while you are out and about on your adventures. Just 2.7 miles west of Lyndhurst, this neighborhood park has something for everyone. Your dog will enjoy taking a walk along the paved path that runs through the grounds, or heading off for a play on the ball fields or open grassed areas with you. If you have kids, Bexley Park boasts Cleveland’s only outdoor bicycle pump track, as well as a massive fenced playground.  There is a shelter in the picnic area, and lots of shady trees to enjoy when everyone is ready for a rest.

Monticello Boulevard/ Englewood Road

Take your pet out for a day in the park at Cleveland Height’s Denison Park, located 3.2 miles northwest of Lyndhurst. Pop your pooch on the lead for a few loops around the asphalt path, totaling one mile for three laps. Head over to the ball fields when not in use and let your pup off the lead for a game of chasey or catch. There are restrooms here and a lovely picnic area for when it is time for a rest and refuel. Kids will love the basketball courts, playground and tennis courts. You will need to bring water and waste bags.

South Green Road/ Greenvale Road

Let your pooch off the lead for a doggone good time at the South Euclid Dog Park at Quarry Park North, just 3.6 miles northwest of Lyndhurst. Securely fenced for your pet’s safety, this large park is the perfect place to let your dog play and socialize with like-minded pooches and thoroughly wear himself out! Your pup can test their skills on the agility equipment, chase a ball with you or run around freely while you sit and supervise at the benches. There is running water and waste disposal bags provided. Outside the dog park, take some time in Quarry Park North and adjacent Quarry Park South, where you can enjoy an on-lead walk or picnic.
