Norwood Young America is a small town located in Minnesota, and its name is not its only unique characteristic. The city was established when the cities of Norwood and Young America merged into one in the 1990s.

Norwood Young America is also known as the home of the oldest festival in Michigan: Stiftungsfest. The festival is a sort of Founder's Day where the town's German heritage is highlighted with food and music. However, you can see German culture within some of the town's architecture and food year-round.

The city is incredibly small -- approximately 2.5 square miles in size. Still, the community has managed to pack a fair few parks and trails within that space! Leashed, well-behaved dogs are allowed to explore Norwood Young America's parks with you. Just make sure you bring plenty of water and waste baggies along for your excursions here.
