I have been married to Travis for 19 years. I have a teenage daughter who loves to play volleyball. I have two dogs, Sadie, a Weimaraner, who is 9 years old, and Bud, a German Shorthaired Pointer, who is 5 )years. My dogs and I go on at least 2 walks a day. The neighbors know me as the dog lady. In the summer I enjoy camping, boating, hiking, and biking. In the winter I enjoy snowmobiling and snowshoeing. The dogs are usually along for the ride when possible.

“I look forward to walking your dog!”

Hi! My name is Kate. With the COVID-19 shutdowns this is my only way of income and I appreciate any and all walks. I joined Wag to be able to spend more time with pups and because it’s a great side job. I’m very responsible and patient with animals but also love to spoil them. I have walked dogs before and am excited to be able to schedule on my own with owners, I can’t wait to meet and walk your dog!

“I'll probably give your pooch a sweet nickname.”

The world has changed quite a bit this year and our constant source of happiness has been our pets. For everyone's safety, I'll wear a mask and have freshly sanitized hands before handling any fur babies. I've loved working with Wag! for over a year and have met so many pooches. It's a guarantee they will get extra scratches and treats (if allowed). My eyes will always be looking out for your pups. I can't wait to meet and care for more tail-waggers.

Dog Walking in Minnetonka

A suburb of Minneapolis, Minnetonka is soon to become your dog’s favorite destination. With eleven vet offices and animal hospitals within the city limits, you can rest comfortably adventuring in this puptown. To kick off your Minnetonka vacation with a bang, go to Gold Nugget for burgers, fries, and similar classics that are so flavorful they’re worth their weight in gold--and your dog can join you!

Treat your dog and yourself to an amazing and destressing trip to Purgatory Park. Read the signs when you arrive; well-controlled dogs are allowed to play off leash during listed hours! The area is not fully fenced, so your dog has to get an A+ in recall to play safely.

Once you’ve worked up an appetite, wind down the evening at Bacio. Authentic Italian cuisine is served to well behaved canine guests on the patio of this upscale eatery.

If you don’t mind shelling out a small pet fee to keep your pup with you in luxury, you can stay at the Sheraton Minneapolis West Hotel in Minnetonka. If you’d rather save some dough for another fun activity, try La Quinta Inn & Suites Minneapolis Minnetonka for pet fee free rooms. Either way, you’ll be sleeping soundly tonight.

The Jidana Park in the Libbs Lake neighborhood is a great place to take your dog to get away from it all. This park emphasises walking trails. Your leashed pup will love the opportunity to get lost in nature without ever leaving Minnetonka. There’s also a bow range in the park, so be mindful of crossing into that area--but don’t worry too much, as it’s clearly marked! You should bring your own supply of water and a bowl for your dog to drink from, since the trails can take you far from the park’s central area.

Doggie dining doesn’t get finer than Ridgedale in Minnetonka. If you’re craving a delicious lunch or dinner out, but you wouldn’t dream of eating anywhere that doesn’t accept your best friend, Ridgedale has two great options in the same neighborhood. Start with eccentric, upscale pub fare from Bar Louie. They have a 30 table outdoor seating area perfect for hosting your dog. You could also go to Avenida Cocina & Bar for playful and inventive Mexican/Asian fusion cuisine. From Kung Pao Tacos to Chicken Teriyaki Enchiladas, this restaurant pushes the boundaries of flavor. It also has a comfortable outdoor seating area for guests with dogs.

Kinsel Park in this neighborhood is a great space for a quick walk in nature with access to Glen Lake. It also has wooded walking trails. It’s not large, but following a few paths through the trees can make it feel bigger than it is. Your dog should be on leash in the park, which is also popular with joggers and cyclists! Bring your own water and a doggie bowl, since this nature park is light on drinking fountains. If you have a dog who loves to watch squirrels and birds, Kinsel Park is popular with wildlife spotters too!

Lone Lake Park is a fantastic place to bring dogs who like to cover a lot of ground. The park has many excellent features, including BBQ pits and a playground, but dogs will adore its walking and jogging paths. These trails run close to the water to give a fantastic view of the lake. They also wind through wooded areas to provide some shade during your workout. You can choose the paths yourself, so this can be an easy amble through the woods or a longer, brisk jog by the water. There’s a path for every fitness level and time frame.

Meadow Park is a community hub that’s equally good for a twenty minute walk or an all day romp with your best friend. Take the trails through Meadow Park to work off some of your dog’s energy. Leashed dogs are welcome in the park, and you can make the most of it by following the paths around the sports fields, playscape, and the outdoor ice hockey rink. If you want to take it slow, go ahead and enjoy the park, especially the gazebo and picnic areas! Bring a doggie bowl so your dog can enjoy the cool drinking fountains.
