I have been married to Travis for 19 years. I have a teenage daughter who loves to play volleyball. I have two dogs, Sadie, a Weimaraner, who is 9 years old, and Bud, a German Shorthaired Pointer, who is 5 )years. My dogs and I go on at least 2 walks a day. The neighbors know me as the dog lady. In the summer I enjoy camping, boating, hiking, and biking. In the winter I enjoy snowmobiling and snowshoeing. The dogs are usually along for the ride when possible.

“I look forward to walking your dog!”

Hi! My name is Kate. With the COVID-19 shutdowns this is my only way of income and I appreciate any and all walks. I joined Wag to be able to spend more time with pups and because it’s a great side job. I’m very responsible and patient with animals but also love to spoil them. I have walked dogs before and am excited to be able to schedule on my own with owners, I can’t wait to meet and walk your dog!

Dog Walking in Richfield

Named for the rich farmland that once occupied the area, the City of Richfield can be found in between Minneapolis, the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport, Bloomington, and Edina. Despite its location in a large urban area, it maintains a small-town vibe characterized by an easygoing pace and strong community spirit. A truly dog-friendly city, Richfield welcomes leashed canines to its public parks and is home to five animal hospitals.

Enjoy a beautiful day out with your best friend at the Veterans Memorial Park! One of the most popular parks in Richfield, this 100-acre site houses the largest playground facility and picnic pavilion in the city. Explore the park with your pup by taking a leashed stroll on the walking paths, which meander around grassy fields, Legion Lake, a mini golf course, and the Honoring All Veterans Memorial.

Nestled on the western edge of the city, Adams Hill Park is great for going on quiet walks with your furry buddy. There are paved paths that will take you and Fido around the 13-acre site, and a sledding hill that you can traverse for an extra challenge.

If you need to spend a few days in Richfield with your pooch, book a room at the pet-friendly Candlewood Suites. This hotel allows two pets up to 80 pounds for an additional fee, so make yourselves at home!

Experience the more laid-back part of the Twin Cities with Fido in Richfield!

Taft Park is a 42-acre green space tucked in the northeastern corner of the city. It features walking trails that will lead you and your pup around a lake, through woods, and past athletic fields, making it a good spot for getting some exercise with Fido. Enjoy the peaceful scenery as you and your pooch take a stroll among nature, and expect to meet some wildlife, such as geese and deer along the way. Taft Park contains several sports facilities including softball fields, basketball courts, and a hockey rink, so parking spots may be hard to find when games are being held.

Located near the Richfield Community Center, this 21-acre site has something for everyone, even furry visitors. Residents of East Richfield love their neighborhood for being peaceful, walkable, and dog-friendly. It's not hard to see why, as this area is home to four parks where you can walk your doggo daily! Christian Park, which spans 11 acres, has a 0.7-mile paved trail that will lead you and Fido past a playground, picnic shelter, ice rink, and athletic fields and courts. North Richfield offers three parks for you and Fido to explore: Richfield Lake, Garfield, and Nicollet. Richfield Lake Park, the largest of the three, covers 24 acres and includes a lake that many ducks and geese call home. A paved path encircles the lake, allowing visitors to enjoy a scenic, waterside stroll. After hanging out at Richfield Lake Park, head to Pizza Luce to grab a bite to eat. In this neighborhood, you'll find a couple of places where you can eat out with your canine companion in tow. For Egyptian-Mediterranean fare, drop by Aida and tuck into some hummus and falafels in the alfresco dining area. If Chicago-style pizza sounds good, head over to Giordano's and share an outdoor table with your doggo on the gated patio. Both eateries offer vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free menu items. Afterward, swing by the nearby Sheridan Park to burn those calories. Quiet and shady, this 7-acre park has grassy areas and paved walkways that are pawfect for a post-meal stroll with your pooch.
