There are open spaces where you can play a game a fetch or walk laps around the walkway. If you are out with the kids, they will enjoy the playground equipment while you and Fido relax on a bench. Just a couple minutes north of Apple Grove Park, you can also play with Fido at the Carrollwood Park. This neighborhood park features playground equipment to entertain the kids and a walking path for you and your pup.

Apple Valley City Center

You will have several options when walking Fido in the City Center of Apple Valley. Valley Middle Park features athletic fields where your pup can run, or you can walk around the park admiring the plants and trees. If you get tired of this park, take a short walk over to Greening Park where the kids can enjoy the playground equipment while your pup sniffs the flowers and stretches his legs. A third option for getting some exercise is the Newell Park offering playground equipment and shaded benches where you and your pooch can relax and watch the kids play. Before heading home, stop by SmashBurger where you will find eighteen pup-friendly outdoor tables to enjoy a meal with family, friends and their canine companions.

Longridge

Longridge Park is a great place to walk your pup and spend time with the kids. The athletic fields are open and provide plenty of space to run around and roll in the grass. You can walk along the path to stretch your pup’s legs and let him enjoy the fresh air. The playground is great for the kids, and you and Fido can watch from a shaded bench. Another option for walking Fido is Lac Lavon Park. Plan to stroll around the lake enjoying the view, or bring a picnic lunch. If you want to take the family out for dinner, head over to Spice Thai Cuisine where you and your pooch can enjoy your meal at the dog-friendly outdoor tables.

Regatta

Located on Finch Ave, Regatta Park is a beautiful neighborhood park with a large field perfect to play a game of fetch with your pup. Walking Fido along the paths gives him an opportunity to sniff the trees and socialize with other pups in the park. The kids can play on the basketball court while you and your pooch walk some laps or relax on a bench. On the way home, stop by Vivo Kitchen where you can order a BLT, pizza or burgers and enjoy a drink on the outdoor patio. All of the tables on the patio are pup-friendly.

County Rd 42/ County Rd 11

Just 2 miles outside of Apple Valley, the Alimagnet Dog Park is located in Burnsville and offers a great place to walk your pooch. This puptastic park offers a walking path and grassy play area where your pooch can sniff and roll around. The swimming pond is great for pups who enjoy the water, and the heated water bowls are perfect in the winter. The park offers lights during the evening hours, giving your pup a great place for some play time before bed. Doggie waste bags are provided to make it easy and convenient to clean up after your pup. Outside the dog park area, families can enjoy the disc golf course, canoe launch, playground and BBQ grill area.
