Book nowHey, I'm Allan. I live in Bucktown and am the doggie godfather to Oakley, an Alaskan Klee Kai and Marley, a Rat Terrier. I grew up taking care of my German Shpeherd, Scarlet taking her for long walks in the Boston area. I understand dog psychology quite well from playing and taking care of dogs in family environments my whole life. Man's best friends love to spend time outside and I do also. I walk and skateboard a lot so I have a good energy with all dogs.

Best Dog Friendly Neighborhoods in Crystal
Bassett Creek
Bassett Creek
One of the most popular features of the Bassett Creek neighborhood is the off-leash Bassett Creek Dog Park. The park is open all year round and offers a doggie water fountain where Fido can get a cool drink. Pups love running and romping in the grass and socializing with other dogs visiting the park. Doggie waste bags are provided for convenience and the park is well maintained. After spending time in the dog park, head over to the playground where the kids can run off some energy or play a competitive game of disc golf. When its time for dinner, take Fido and the family to Milton’s Vittles Vino Beer where you can enjoy made from scratch meals at one of the many dog-friendly tables.
Lions Park
Lions Park
One of the resident's pups' favorite places in the Lions Park neighborhood is the Lions Valley Place Dog Park. Although the park is used as a skating park in the winter, during the summer months the off-leash area is perfect to allow your pooch to run around and sniff plants and other dogs. Outside of the dog park, pooch owners can walk around the paved path or relax at one of the picnic shelters and enjoy a snack. After some energetic exercise, head over to Bruegger’s Bagels where you can eat breakfast or lunch and sit at one of the pooch-friendly tables.
Forest
Forest
The Iron Horse Dog Park is a wonderful place to take your pooch in the Forest neighborhood. When Fido needs some time to run off-leash, this park provides plenty of space. During the winter, it is used as a skating rink, but during the summer months, local dog owners are often found hanging out with their pups enjoying the warm weather. You will need to bring your own doggie waste bags to clean up after your pup. After spending some quality time with Fido at the park, head over to El Loro restaurant where you can enjoy some Mexican food including nachos, tacos, and enchiladas. You and the family can relax on the outdoor patio and your pup can request his own water bowl.
Welcome Park
Welcome Park
If you are spending time in the Welcome Park neighborhood, be sure to take your pup to the Welcome Park Dog Park. The park features an enclosed area where your pooch can run around and play fetch or socialize with other dogs. If you want to walk laps, there is a paved path around the perimeter of the park. Take a break at one of the picnic shelters and enjoy a cool drink or refill your water bottles at the fountain. The skating rink, tennis courts, and soccer field offer light during the evening hours, making this park a great destination for Fido’s before bedtime walk.
Skyway
Skyway
Head over to the MAC Wildlife Area in the Skyway neighborhood to check out the hiking paths through the woods. While admiring nature, you and your pup can breathe in the fresh air and enjoy the peace and quiet away from the busy city noises. You will need to bring your own water bottles and doggie waste bags to clean up after Fido. In the evening, plan a date with your furry companion at Wingstop where you can order a variety of wings and chicken tenders while relaxing on the outdoor patio.
