Book nowHey, I'm Allan. I live in Bucktown and am the doggie godfather to Oakley, an Alaskan Klee Kai and Marley, a Rat Terrier. I grew up taking care of my German Shpeherd, Scarlet taking her for long walks in the Boston area. I understand dog psychology quite well from playing and taking care of dogs in family environments my whole life. Man's best friends love to spend time outside and I do also. I walk and skateboard a lot so I have a good energy with all dogs.

The Palmer Lake neighborhood features the wonderful Palmer Lake Park. The paved Woodchip Trail here winds around the lake and through the marshes, and covers about three miles for a nice long trek. If you bring both your two and four-legged children to the park, the kids can run around the playground while Fido romps and rolls in the grass. When you are ready for lunch, Culver’s is a pooch-friendly restaurant where you can order a burger and some frozen custard while relaxing at the outdoor tables. Another feature of the neighborhood is the convenient Extended Stay America hotel where you can spend the night with two pets for an additional fee.
Birch Grove
Birch Grove
Central Park is one of the key features of the Birch Grove neighborhood. Fido and his family can spend time at the park in both summer and winter, and there is even a warming house offered in the winter to get out of the cold. Pups enjoy walking along the paths while the kids climb on the playground. You can relax on a bench and watch a disc golf game, or eat a snack at one of the picnic tables. If you want to go out for lunch with your pup, head over to Sweet Basil, where you and your furtastic friend can lounge at the outdoor tables and enjoy several different Asian dishes.
Willowstone
Willowstone
When hanging out in the Willowstone neighborhood, be sure to check out Willowstone Park. The park is not far from the Mississippi River, and features a playground and nature area where you can walk Fido along the trails. The picnic area is perfect for a weekend BBQ. If your pup likes the snow, you can take the kids sledding and your pooch can roll around in the winter wonderland. When you need a bite to eat, Sweet Taste of Italy is pup-friendly, and offers pet friendly outdoor tables when the weather is nice.
West River Road
West River Road
Spending the day at the Environmental Area Off-Leash Dog Park in the West River Road neighborhood will be pawtastic for you and Fido. The park is located across from the Coon River Dam and is completely fenced, allowing your pooch a chance to run around and socialize with other pups off leash. There are large trees and shaded benches where owners can relax and watch their pups having a snifftastic time. There are no water spigots in the park, so you will need to bring your own water bottles. Be sure to bring doggie waste bags, so you can clean up after your pooch.
