Dog Areas in Shoreview

Shoreview is a city in Minnesota located about 15 miles outside of Minneapolis. Although Shoreview wasn’t officially incorporated until 1957, it was first settled over 100 years prior, in 1850. The area was found when settlers of a nearby town branched out to look for suitable farmland. With the city being so close to Minneapolis, though, it isn’t too surprising that Shoreview is no longer used for agriculture. Today, the city is known for being voted one of America’s best family-friendly towns, according to Family Circle magazine.

Unfortunately, this family-friendly award doesn’t extend to four-legged family members. Shoreview has no dog parks or dog-friendly restaurants. Luckily, Minneapolis is nearby, and the larger city has plenty of places that will welcome Fido to join in on the fun. There are, however, a couple of veterinarian clinics located in Shoreview, so if you need care for a sick or injured pup, help is available just around the corner.

Shoreview is a beautiful, small city with plenty of fun opportunities for you and your family. If your family includes a dog, a day-trip to Minneapolis is quick and easy. Get out and have a ball with Fido!
