Your furry friend will love exploring more than seven miles of natural and paved trails. After a leisurely stroll, stop over at the Quail Ridge Dog Park. She can run and play to her heart’s content in this 1.5 acre off leash area. There are separate areas for large and small dogs, so pups can enjoy a stress free trip to the park.  A covered shelter is provided, allowing you to visit the park rain or shine.

Broemmelsiek Park is located just eight miles south of Wentzville in the quiet area of New Melle. Your furry friend will love exploring over 400 acres while soaking up some sunshine. Be sure to keep your pup leashed since there’s a chance you’ll cross paths with horseback riders. When your pooch is ready to ditch his leash, head over to the Broemmelsiek Dog Park. This park was voted “Best Dog Park” in the region, so your dog won’t want to miss out! He can cruise around nearly five acres of off leash area and splash in the park’s pond. He’s sure to have a tail waggin’ time!

Pack up your pooch and head over to Rotary Park for some exercise. This park is only six miles west of Wentzville in the nearby area of Foristell. Spend some quality time with your fur baby as you venture into the park’s 72 acres. You can wander through the grassy area or stick to the 1.3 mile paved walking trail. If you’re feeling lucky, cast a line into the lake and see if you can pull up a fish. This park hosts several notable events, so be sure to check the schedule so you don’t run into the crowds.

If you’ve got a hankering for pizza, head over to Tommy D’s Pizza. Choose from a variety of toppings or switch it up and have a salad or toasted sandwich. This facility prides itself for having all your canine needs under one ‘woof’.  They offer training, grooming, daycare and boarding. If you’re headed out of town, book one of the comfy suites for your dog. Don’t forget to add on a special treat like a Kong with peanut butter or doggie ice cream!

Just five miles to the east of Wentzville is the Community of Lake St. Louis. Pay a visit to this small town so your four legged friend can enjoy the sights and smells of Founders Park. If your pup needs to burn up some energy, briskly walk around one of the park’s paths. You can also wander through the sports complex and check out some baseball or soccer games. A visit to the park is always better with a picnic. Pack up a lunch and some kibble for your dog and stop by one of the picnic areas. A trip to this park will make your dog one happy hound!
