As the fastest growing city in the entire state of Missouri (according to the 2010 U.S. Census), Wentzville is home to a myriad of pet-friendly attractions and opportunities. Often called the "Crossroads of the Nation" due to its' location near several major interstates, locally the town is known as a friendly and charming place to live, even as it expands rapidly.

Wentzville is home to two dog parks. Broemmelsiek Dog Park is a 2.5-acre fenced-in area with tons of open space. Locals love the shade trees and the cool waters of the lake - just right for a hot day. Nearby is Quail Ridge Dog Park, which is a slightly smaller park that is fully handicapped accessible.

A favorite hiking path in the area is the Quail Ridge County Park Trail. Six miles long, the trail combines paved and natural paths and is accessible year-round. On-leash dogs are allowed to traverse the route, which is suitable for all skill levels.

During the holiday season, pets (including horses!) are allowed to participate in the annual Holiday Parade. Each March the city hosts a "Bone Hunt" which takes place in Rotary Park. Join your furry friend as he or she digs for buried treasure with the other local pooches, and participate in raffles and a nature walk around the park!
