Upper Salford
Upper Salford is quite a green neighborhood, meaning that there are some incredibly scenic dog walks to be had here. This is where you will find the 31 acre Groff's Mill Park, one of the finest parks in Schwenksville that stretches its way along Perkiomen Creek. There are picnic tables and benches located throughout the park, as well as a beautiful walking trail. Also in this neighborhood is the Upper Salford Park, with various nature gardens, sports facilities, picnic areas, a large pond, and walking trails. Dogs are allowed to use both of these parks, but will need to be kept on a lead at all times.

Woxall
Just a mile from Schwenksville is the Woxall neighborhood in Harleysville, where you and your pooch will find numerous green areas waiting to be explored. The smaller parks in this neighborhood include the Moyer-Marks Park, with its play equipment, picnic areas, grills and walking trail, and the grassy Orchard Park, with its picnic pavilion and flower beds. If your pup could do with a longer walk, Woxall provides access to Green Lane Park, which not only offers recreational activities such as horseback riding and fishing, but also has a 2.6 mile trail, known as the Orange Trail, which starts within Woxall itself.

Park Ave
Less than two miles from Schwenksville is this neighborhood in Harleysville that is home to a few different parks. The Ted Dannerth Memorial Park runs along both sides of the West Branch of Skippack Creek, with a walking trail that offers some beautifully scenic vistas, along with plenty of grassy areas for Fido to sniff about in. Another pawsome park to visit is the four acre Robert Clemens Bucher Park, with its sports facilities and walking path. While the Kulp Road Pond Park is smaller, at half an acre, it still boasts a picturesque walk around its large pond.

Sumneytown
Just a couple of miles from Schwenksville lies Sumneytown, a Harleysville neighborhood that offers up some pawsome dog walks. Briarwyck Park is one of the most popular parks in the area, as this eight acre expanse of green features a play area, picnic tables and a walking trail. If you and your pooch would like to try your hand, and paw, at fishing, the pond within the park is stocked with trout each spring, although you will need a valid fishing license to be able to use this. Sumneytown also provides access to the Harleysville Community Center Park, which has sports facilities, a swimming pool, a playground, and a paved walking trail.

Skippack
Your dog will no doubt love the Skippack neighborhood of Collegeville, which is less than a ten minute drive from Schwenksville. This is where you will find a large portion of the Evansburg State Park. At 3349 acres, this park offers numerous recreational activities, from fishing to horseback riding to golfing, as well as 15 miles of varied hiking trails that will take you and your pup through the park. You will find several different natural habitats here, from ancient woodlands to meadows of wildflowers, and since there is so much wildlife that calls this park home, from deer to foxes to rare birds, you will need to keep your pooch on a lead at all times.
