“Safe Reliable Pet Bestfriend”
Hi there! My name is Alexis but most call me Lexi. I am Registered Medical Assistant and I also work for Shipt grocery delivery. I currently am going back to school for an art degree. I have owned a dog since the day I was born. I currently do not have a pup since we moved to San Antonio 5 years ago but I do look after my significant others two beautiful dogs Mia and Mya. Mia is a black lab mix and Mya is a Heinz 57 mix. When I was little we owned two beagles Sophie and Amy. Once they had passed we rescued our Greyhound Obelix in Germany where we were stationed. I have loved dogs all my life and I can't wait to meet your furry bestfriend!

Von Ormy is a small city in southwest Texas with just over 1,000 people who call it home. With archeological findings that demonstrate human activity in Von Ormy for over 8,000 years, Von Ormy certainly isn’t small in terms of its interesting history. There is also plenty to see and do in and around Von Ormy, and its proximity to the Medina River means there are some stunning sights to take in and fun walks to take with your dog. The climate in Von Ormy is mild year-round, with warm summers, little rain, and no snow, which means there won’t be many days you can’t venture outside for a stroll with your dog!
Just a 27-minute drive from central Von Ormy will take you to the neighborhood of Vance Jackson in San Antonio. Here, you’ll find the Phil Hardberger Dog Park. This large park has a separate 1.8-acre area for big dogs to run free, as well as a section for smaller dogs to run and play together. Phil Hardberger Park, commonly referred to as PHP, even has obstacles and play structures to make sure your dog is exercised and entertained to their heart’s content! This park is just one of many great places you can visit when you’re in the Von Ormy area that you and Rover will get a kick out of!
In the vicinity of San Antonio lies a little town called Von Ormy, which had a population of around 1,086 in 2010. Although there are no dog parks at this small place, that doesn't mean that your dogs are not welcome here. If you're passing through and you need a place to stay, Von Ormy has a couple of pet-friendly accommodations. For those of you who are travelling with an RV, the Hidden Valley RV Park is the perfect place for you and your dog. There are no pet fees, and all dogs must be on leash. If you need something different, there are Von Ormy Airbnb rentals where you can find something that suits you and your furry buddy.
Approximately 18 miles from Von Ormy is a huge park named Brackenridge Park in San Antonio. This is just the perfect spot for spending some quality time with your dog! This park is a 343-acre public park that includes the San Antonio Zoo, the Witte Museum, the Japanese Tea Gardens, the Sunken Garden Theater and a lot more. Your dog is welcome here at several of the park's attractions. Your doggie has to be on leash at all times and you have to clean up after your pet, but that's a small price to pay for this wonderful experience!
The Medina River Natural Area is a 511-acre oasis by the Medina River. This is one of the best natural places the area has to offer. There are 10 miles of biking and hiking trails that you can explore. Your dogs are allowed here, but they have to be on their leash. Also bring some extra poop bags because you have to clean up after your pup. You should bring your own water, and you have to be aware of the wildlife that lives in this area. Other than that, this is the pawfect place to relax in the shade and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
A little bit further from Von Ormy is the only official dog park in the area, called McAllister Dog Park. It is situated around 28 miles from Von Ormy. The park has 976 wooded acres with 15 miles of trails where you can walk your dog on leash. For off-leash fun, visit the dog park area that has separate zones for small dogs and large dogs. It has a lot of shade, water fountains and toys available at your disposal. Plus, the park has picnic units, baseball fields, a fitness station, rugby fields and so much more, which makes it a perfect place for the whole family!
Fifteen miles away from Von Ormy is the sprawling neighborhood of downtown San Antonio, where you’ll find Hemisfair Park. In this park, you can explore green spaces, paths for walking and jogging, play structures, game tables and so much more! The good news is that you can bring your pupper there with you! Although your dog has to be on leash at all times, that doesn't mean that you won't have lots of fun. The park is open from 7 AM to 12 AM, which gives you a lot of flexibility when it comes to planning your visit.
