Beach Haven Beaches

If you're looking to take your pooch for a romp along the Jersey Shore, you won't want to miss out on the beaches in Beach Haven. These lovely beaches rest on a strip of coastal property that stretches for over 130 miles. From the banks of many of these sandy retreats, you and your pooch can catch a glimpse of the off shore barrier islands and sparkling bay waters, both pawtastic sights to behold! 

The beaches in this puptown begin at Sandy Hook and continue along the shoreline to Cape May, and allow your pup to roam the sand with you. You may bring your best canine pal to enjoy the shore areas of any of these beaches from September 16th through May 14th each year. All other times of year, the beach is reserved for use by people only. 

The bay beach located at Taylor Avenue stands out amidst this town's beach areas as it permits doggoes to swim right alongside you, and is the only beach where puppers are permitted access to both the sand and the surf. 

The Borough of Beach Haven asks that all dogs visiting their beaches remain on a lead of no greater than six feet in length at all times. Access to any of the beaches in Beach Haven does require a current beach badge. You may purchase a daily pass at the cost of $7, a weekly pass for $20, or a year's permit for $40. 

If you fancy a picnic along the coast, any of the Beach Haven Beaches will fit the bill! Bring along a packed lunch, some drinking water, and cleanup bags too! Bathrooms are available on the premises of most of the beaches for the pawblic to use.
