Harbor Cove Beach

Harbor Cove Beach is a lovely beach situated neatly in Ventura, California. Known for being very dog-friendly, families frequently travel to this beach to have fun with their favorite furry friends. While the website does say dogs must remain on-leash, the rules seem to be enforced in a relaxed style. This beach has a large parking lot right next to it, but do keep in mind you will want to get there early to ensure you have a spot. 

When taking your dog to the beach, be mindful of those around you and make sure to clean up after your canine companion. This will create the best experience for all. This beach has plenty of sandy areas for your pup to explore. Just keep it in mind that sand can become very hot on the bottom of pupper's feet, so check in on them periodically.  

Many people have said that they have seen dogs go into the water without any issues, so swimming with your pup may be possible, but again, be mindful of those around you and keep a leash nearby. There are restrooms at the beach located in the parking lot for your convenience. There are also showers at this beach for you to use after swimming. If you find yourself getting hungry during the day, there are food options nearby. You will want to bring some of your puppy's food with you since people food isn't the best option for them!

After you are done spending your day at the beach, there are plenty of dog-friendly accommodations for you to use for the night. So make a trip out of it and spend some quality time with your family, fur and all!
