Seaward Avenue Beach

Has big city life left you craving a day by the sea? A trip to the Seaward Avenue Beach could be just what the dog-tor ordered! Situated to the front of the Seaward Avenue Beach District, this pawsitively awesome beach is less heavily trafficked than other Ventura coastal properties, making it a woofderful haven for city-weary people and their pooches to enjoy. 

The shoreline here is vast and spacious, offering lots of sand for Fido to sink his paws into and dig to his heart's content. Your favorite canine pal is welcome in the Atlantic Ocean's refreshing waters, as well as on the sand, but to avoid any run-ins with the local Paw Patrol, you should keep your pooch on his leash at all times. While swimming is allowed at Seaward Avenue Beach, it's important to check the status of the riptides as the current may be too strong for Fido to safely foray into the ocean during your day of fun. 

If a relaxing stroll is what you had in mind, why not leash up your favorite pooch and meander to Seaward Beach Avenue District's recreational center which features shopping and restaurants? Or head a 1/2 mile in the opposite direction to the nearby state park? Walking not your cup of tea? Seaward Avenue Beach also has a paw-pular bike path people and their pooches can enjoy. 

You may find parking is very limited at this beach, so be sure to arrive early to get a great spot. Bathrooms are available on the premises, but water and clean up bags are not. Take care to pack some bottled water and extra bags from home. Don't forget to add a snack for yourself and Fido too!
